Time:  September 18 · 12:00pm – 6:00pm

Location:   Folly Beach, SC

Specifics:   On Saturday, September 18th, we are hosting the first annual Rolling of the Bulls to benefit the Folly Beach Relief Fund and the Folly Beach Chapter of Surfers Healing.

The Rolling of the Bulls, patterned after the famous Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, will feature the derby girls of the Lowcountry High Rollers as the “bulls” on roller skates. Our team will chase registered runners through the streets of Folly Beach, ending at the Holiday Inn where a post-roll celebration featuring music, food, games and drinks happens at Blu.

There is a $5 registration donation to join in the fun! Registration is at Loggerheads (123 W. Ashley Ave. Folly Beach) prior to the run.

Runners must be (18+) to participate.

All proceeds from participating runners and our event sponsors benefit the Folly Beach Relief Fund and Surfers’ Healing. The Relief Fund helps residents and businesses in the event of an environmental disaster or other hardship. Surfers’ Healing, a national group with a local chapter, connects professional surfers with children with autism.

One of the Lowcountry High Rollers’ goals is to support charities within the community where we live and skate. But we can’t do it without support from our awesome fans and our generous sponsors.

The Rolling of the Bulls is sure to become another legendary Folly Beach event! Our derby girls will be out in full force along Arctic Ave. beginning at HIGH NOON on Sept. 18th … We hope you’ll join us the day of. Businesses interested in participating in or sponsoring this event should contact Wendy Jernigan at reddread22@gmail.com.
